our friends were thoughtful enough to plan their wedding during the best month in texas - october {state fair time}!
when we finally woke up on sunday morning we headed downtown for some breakfast-corndogs and people watching on the last day of the 2011 state fair...

this weekend we went back to dallas to see two of our closest friends get hitched! 


it was amazing seeing all of our dallas friends again {and our out-of-town friends too}! we celebrated with the wedding party on friday night, recovered just in time for the {absolutely beautiful} wedding, made s'mores at the after party, and stayed up way past our bed time catching up with our nearest and dearest...


{and the best part is we get to do it all over again in november!}

today we went to longmont - just another adorable town on the front range with another adorable main street. we went to an awesome thrift store, admired historic storefronts, explored a crazy pawn shop {the man there said that people come from all around the world to see that bear, btw}, and ate a delicious lunch at a firehouse brewery...

{local love} fall on the farm

this morning A and i headed out to a farm near hudson, colorado. we played in the pumpkin patch, braved the wild west corn maze, and petted all the cute animals we possibly could!

i'm dying over these insanely gorgeous quilts made from indian textiles {on sale right this second at this website}! the colors! the patterns! they make me want to travel to far off places and ride an elephant and all sorts of other such fantastic things...

{party animals} autumn love birds

A and i are so excited for fall - fall is most definitely our favorite season, and this will be our very first fall in colorado {where there actually is a fall, and a whole season of it, unlike some other states i know}.  
but we're also excited because we have two wonderful weddings to attend, one later this month and another one in november! the two couples are some of our very best friends; we are bursting with happiness for them, and we just can't wait to celebrate their big day{s}!
and, on top of all that awesomeness, i am the lucky girl who got to design the invitations for the november wedding! it was such an honor and a joy!
