{design nerd} our diy upholstered headboard

this project has been on my to-do list for way too long, and i'm so excited to finally be able to share it with you!  we bought this fabric from urban outfitters about a thousand years ago.  it used to be on our dining room wall as faux wallpaper in our last two apartments, but it doesn't really fit on any of the walls in our house, so we decided to make it into an upholstered headboard.  i used grace's diy instructions on design*sponge here {fyi: i tweaked the shape of the headboard a little bit and skipped the legs altogether} and i couldn't be happier with how it turned out {the cats like it too}!

{design nerd} our travel gallery wall

just finished working on our travel gallery wall in the basement and i kinda heart it! the hardest part was trying to pick our favorite photos and souvenirs...good news is, there's room to grow!
