{local love} our first snow

we got home from texas just in time for the season's first real snow! it started late last night and we woke up this morning to somewhere in the neighborhood of eleven inches of powder! we took a walk at lunchtime and along the way decided that we're pretty sure we live in a postcard.

{weekender} state fair of texas

our friends were thoughtful enough to plan their wedding during the best month in texas - october {state fair time}!
when we finally woke up on sunday morning we headed downtown for some breakfast-corndogs and people watching on the last day of the 2011 state fair...

{party animals} a wedding in dallas

this weekend we went back to dallas to see two of our closest friends get hitched! 


it was amazing seeing all of our dallas friends again {and our out-of-town friends too}! we celebrated with the wedding party on friday night, recovered just in time for the {absolutely beautiful} wedding, made s'mores at the after party, and stayed up way past our bed time catching up with our nearest and dearest...


{and the best part is we get to do it all over again in november!}

today we went to longmont - just another adorable town on the front range with another adorable main street. we went to an awesome thrift store, admired historic storefronts, explored a crazy pawn shop {the man there said that people come from all around the world to see that bear, btw}, and ate a delicious lunch at a firehouse brewery...

this morning A and i headed out to a farm near hudson, colorado. we played in the pumpkin patch, braved the wild west corn maze, and petted all the cute animals we possibly could!
