{bucket list} rocky mountain national park

A and i just got back from a magical day trip to rocky mountain national park {ps it's national park week!}. it's about an hour and a half from where we live, which is kind of amazing. we hiked three miles to the top of deer mountain {10,013 feet} and made a sweet new chipmunk friend {we named him bobby}. when we got back down we spent the afternoon in downtown estes park - we ate estes park's best burger, got candy from the old fashioned candy shop, and searched for silly treasures at the five-and-dime {i have a serious weakness for five-and-dimes}. oh, and we crossed one more thing off of the bucket list!

{exciting news} we have ourselves a quarterback!

our redskins got themselves a quarterback! he's a heisman trophy winner,

he played football in texas, and he wears crazy socks! three cheers for RGIII!!!

{party animals} a black, white & pink wedding

today my college roommate {and friend of more than ten years!} elysa and her fiance rory tied the knot! the ceremony and reception were held in a sweet little vineyard in grapevine, texas. all of the guests wore black and white {the wedding party stood out with pretty pops of pink!}. we all crowded around the couple for their first dance and cheered as they attacked their little brothers {instead of each other} with the wedding cake. it was a perfect day for a perfect couple!

one of the best things about going back to dallas is that we get to spend time with our friends and family {especially our sweet beautiful niece jayden!}...

{memory lane} our wedding day

five years ago today i was blessed enough to marry the most amazing man person i've ever met. it was quite simply a perfect and magical day. so much love, joy and laughter. crazy dancing, yummy food {or so i heard}, millions of hugs and kisses. it went by so fast. i treasure that one day so dearly, and i always will; but words cannot possibly express how lucky i feel to have spent these last 1,827 days being married to my very best friend.

A and i celebrated this ridiculously gorgeous easter day with a morning hike at chautauqua and a delicious boozy brunch on pearl street we then proceeded to pinch ourselves half a dozen times to make sure we weren't dreaming this picture-perfect paradise. hope your easter has been just as happy!
