{weekender} pitkin

one of the best things about living where we do now is that we are only four and a half hours from one of our very favorite places on earth: pitkin. we headed out on thursday afternoon to spend a long weekend in our little ghost-town-away-from-home.
we didn't do too much; a little hiking here and there, a little visiting with friends, friday morning coffee and brunch with the entire town.

on saturday we spent the day wandering around crested butte. we shopped, coffee-ed, and played with random puppies. we got hit hard by a quick cold mountain rain and took a beer break in a little pub before meeting A's family at slogar for dinner...

i always want more time in pitkin. time stands almost perfectly still there and the stars are bigger and brighter than you could ever imagine. a long weekend is never going to be enough. but we'll be back.
