{thirty days of thanks} books

in this age of kindles and nooks, i stand firmly in support of good old-fashioned books. i love the way they feel in my hands. i love turning the pages and keeping my place with a bookmark {even if it's just a scrap of paper or a post-it note}. i love the smell of them. i don't even know what they smell like but it smells really good and it only gets better with age. books are pretty and smart and inspirational in ways that just somehow don't translate to the world of e-readers.
