{stateside} day five in dc: thanksgiving
we all slept in on turkey day, and after a home-cooked brunch we headed out for an afternoon of memorials and monuments: lincoln, einstein, vietnam war, korean war, world war II... it was a fitting way to start a day of gratitude.
in fact, after sharing an incredible thanksgiving feast {and just a little too much champagne} with family and friends {for whom i am eternally grateful}, we made one last stop at the jefferson memorial. it couldn't have been a more perfect day.
